Dr. Philippe Chomaz is a theoretical physicist working at the GANIL laboratory in Caen, France. Dr. Chomaz has published extensively on the description of nuclear reactions, especially mutifragmentation. Dr. Chomaz is famed for his colorful, clear, exposition of complex physical phenomena. In this lecture, delivered at the American Chemical Society meeting in San Diego, California on April 3, 2001, Dr. Chomaz offers an overview of multifragmentation.
